Back in February we worked with The Soil Association Scotland to produce a short video outlining what they do within Scottish schools.
A little bit about The Soil Association…
The association was founded in 1946 by a group of farmers, scientists and nutritionists who observed a direct connection between farming practice and plant, animal, human and environmental health. Today, they are the UK’s leading membership charity campaigning for healthy, humane and sustainable food, farming and land use. Their work in schools, through the Food for Life Partnership, shows that it is possible to transform food cultures for the better – improving the life and health chances of thousands of children.
KingFilm visited Stirling Council and a local primary school to talk to councillors, teachers, kitchen staff and children to hear their thoughts on the improvements that have been made to food in schools taking part (video above).
