Marc J Grundy, Director
Marc attended De Montfort University 2006-09 where he studied Media Production (BSc). After leaving Leicester in June 2009, he went on to establish KingFilm Productions in his home town of Buxton, Derbyshire. As well as Marc’s love of Film and Photography, he is also a Black Belt in Lau Gar Kung Fu and Kickboxing, and qualified for the World Kickboxing Association Internationals….twice. ‘Marc Grundy is the most talented, energetic, engaging young man I have ever set eyes on. Anyone who has the pleasure of working with him is very lucky’ Mrs Grundy (Marc’s Mum).
Sophie Nixon, Production Manager
Although on the surface, Sophie Nixon comes across as a standard, run-of-the-mill Astrobiologist, spending most of her days looking for life in Martian environments at the Open University, Milton Keynes; she is actually KingFilm’s newest recruit. Sophie started working with the team early 2010 as Production Manager for Stoke on Trent Crime Initiative and the Buxton Festival projects. But how long can she keep this double-life going for? Running about the lab analysing samples by day, while whipping the KF team into shape under the cover of darkness.
Ian Atkin, Photographer
Let us introduce you to KingFilm’s very own in-house photographer. Well, that’s when he’s not off shooting seals or puffins off the coast of whichever Scottish Isle he’s visiting. Ian is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to photography, and since KingFilm first came to fruition he has always been there to guide us in all matters camera-related.
